Children

Children are often part of the conflict in a divorce. This may include matters such as access arrangements, acknowledgement of parenthood, or parental authority over a child. It is important that proper agreements are made and for these to be properly recorded. This will minimise the burden on the child in a divorce.

Parenting plan

Parents are required to draw up a parenting plan when they divorce. The plan contains agreements on the division of care and parenting tasks and other relevant matters, such as costs related to the children. The children are engaged in this in a way appropriate to their age. As such, the children will feel heard. After all, it is important to take their interests into account.

Sometimes, it may be necessary to reconsider agreements or make additional arrangements after the divorce. Situations tend to change and it is good to prepare for that. A well-considered parenting plan prevents problems.

Our approach is always aimed at enabling ex-partners to work together again as parents.
